Why The Bahamas is a Must Visit, Investment Destination

The Bahamas is a must-visit destination and has also several special incentives to help turn visitors into luxury property buyers.

International tourism is set to take off into 2021, with the islands being a top target for US vacationers, new data suggests.

And the real estate market is set to follow, boosted by special buyer packages aimed especially for visitors, says leading luxury property specialist, Engel & Völkers Bahamas.

Luxury Baha Mar Residences offers a special Fly & Buy package, which offers guests restaurant and amenity credits during three nights’ stay as they look to purchase one of their residences.

When US vacationers see all that the Bahamas has to offer – its beauty, amazing coastlines, wonderful weather, and choice of luxury real estate – many fall in love with the islands and want to buy a home and spend more time here.

“As well as the Baha Mar Fly & Buy programme, other developments offer similar incentives to Bahamas luxury real estate buyers.”

For instance, the prime waterfront villa, Waters Edge, invites prospective buyers to enjoy a 14-night stay, at a special price. The total fee will be refunded in full if they buy the property, which has been successfully used for vacation rentals. Luxury Bahamas real estate buyers can also take advantage of Lease to Own programs offered, which helps affordability and allows buyers to move in immediately.

Americans have earmarked The Bahamas as one of their top five international destinations for 2021, according to the website, Squaremouth Travel Insurance.

The Bahamas is among the top five destinations for trips next year for United States holidaymakers, Squaremouth data suggests.

More than eight out of 10 US vacationers (86%) surveyed plan to travel to international destinations in January and February 2021.

The information is based on all travel insurance policies purchased through Squaremouth.com from 12 March-15  August 2020.

The news comes hot-on-the-heels of The Bahamas also being ranked as the second favourite Caribbean destination for United States users over the next two years by users of the Travelzoo website.

The Bahamas has recently revealed Phase 3 of the Tourism Readiness and Recovery Plan starting from the 1st of November with new travel and testing protocols lifting the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
