Johnny Depp bought the Exuma island in 2004 after filming for the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. The 45-acre island has six beaches. He told Vanity Fair, “I don’t think I’d ever seen any place so pure and beautiful. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It’s instant freedom.” Source

The James Bond movie star has lived in the Bahamas for around 30 years. The 1960s Thunderball movie was filmed in the islands, along with scenes in the Spy Who Loved Me, Never Say Never Again and Casino Royale. Sir Sean was asked by the Herald news outlet where home is. “Here, in the Bahamas,” he replied. Local inspirational speaker Spence Finlayson is among those inspired by the actor.
