Welcome to the Texas of our great archipelago, Andros, The Bahamas.

The largest of the Bahama Islands standing at 100 miles in length and 40 miles in width. Andros happens to be the closest in proximity to the Capital and Business Hub, New Providence, yet is the least inhabited and most underdeveloped island of them all, thereby sitting await with gates of opportunity and good fortune in its grip.

Andros is home of the Crab and as such, during crab season, locals and visitors all can be found darting in and out of the roadside bushes in capture of these delectable delicacies, an off the beaten path kind of experience as catching crabs requires patience and a rare skill set. The All Andros Crab Fest held every June attracts both tourists and natives alike as they feast upon different edible variations of the crab. It is the largest event with timeless partying, sailboat sports racing, libations, live local music, and lots to do. The natives toss the opportunity to sleep as they become overwhelmed with excitement and cultural fever.

Andros is home to collectively about 8000 residents with its economic footstools both Fishing and Farming. It hosts all of four airports with daily flights bridging into Florida, The USA as well as 4 mail boat options and ferries that can be found buzzing about the shorelines thought the day. Sitting just 200 miles off the Florida coastline, Andros makes for the perfect getaway in its provision of intimate lodging that cuts like a knife into to the hearts if it’s many visitors drawn by its naturally friendly people, warm, welcoming disposition and island charm.

There are 3 schools and its living arrangements are the purest fashion of island life one can possibly conceive. Many of the locals can be found on their front or rear porches sitting in shade of the many fruit trees to catch the gusty breezes that move recklessly about the island like a gift of nature. Andros is a finger biting experience if you’re not careful, as their dishes are always a fresh catch and with a people famous for excellent seasoning and marinating, its food is a first choice even for neighboring islanders.

Andros is famous for its Androsia, a beautiful island-made fabric bursting with every color of the rainbow and retailed all across the Bahamas and the world with its distinctive island-inspired patterns and design. This island is blessed with the largest reef system in the Bahamas and the third-largest in the world along with many blue holes all making for the most spellbinding underwater tours and experiences amidst one of the world’s busiest underwater testing facilities.
